Why I'm Running

I’m running for Port Hueneme City Council because I care about our community, the environment, the economy and our future. I will focus my efforts on public safety, post-pandemic economic recovery and improving workforce education to ensure our residents have the skills they need to obtain a good-paying job in the modern economy.

Beyond my legal career, I believe in public service and currently serve in leadership positions on several nonprofit boards of directors, including as vice-chair of the Social Justice Fund for Ventura County, the Vice President of the Black Lawyers of Ventura County and on the board of directors for the Ventura County Legal Aid to help ensure all residents have access to free legal services.

Our jewel of a city needs leadership that can serve all residents with new energy and skills that allow us to preserve our charms while preparing for the future. As an attorney, I will help the council understand complicated legal agreements and make better decisions. As a nonprofit volunteer, my experienced leadership will help to bring local and countywide stakeholders together to solve the problems we face.

Most of all, I will listen to the concerns of all residents and city staff to make Port Hueneme a safe and prosperous place to call home.
